REGULAR MEETING <br />MAY 8, 2000 <br />FILING OF CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Roemer, seconded by Mr. Littrell and carried, the following Certificate <br />of Insurance was accepted for filing: <br />Kaser Spraker Construction, Inc. <br />Post Office Box 3605 <br />South Bend, Indiana 46619 <br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR CONCURRENCE FOR TEMPORARY USE OF CITY OR <br />COUNTY STREETS OR ROADS FOR THE DETOURING OF TRAFFIC FROM A STATE <br />HIGHWAY <br />Mr. Carl P. Littrell, City Engineer, submitted the above referred to application and recommended <br />approval. Mr. Littrell stated that this application relates to 405 Sample Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />for the demolition of a five (5) story 238,000 square foot building on the north side of Sample Street, <br />in conjunction with the construction for the new St. Joseph County Jail. <br />APPROVE CLAIMS <br />Ms. M. Catherine Roemer, City Controller, submitted claims in the amount of $614,950.80 and <br />recommended approval. Also submitted were claims were for the Morris Performing Arts Center <br />with a recommendation for approval. Mr. John March, Community and Economic Development, <br />submitted claims on behalf of the St. Joseph Housing Consortium and recommended approval. Ms. <br />Roemer made a motion that the claims be approved and the reports as submitted be filed.
