Mr. Gilot stated he supports the use of fire hydrants for <br />neighborhood gardens, however, the use of fire hydrants for "small farms" would <br />not be a good practice. The Board discussed options for requests for irrigation, <br />and determined a case by case discretion would be utilized. <br />- Meter Downsizing <br />Mr. Andy Wierzbicki, Water Works, stated the Water Works would like to <br />change the meter downsizing policy. This policy proposes that the homeowner <br />hire a plumber to supply all required fittings to make the requested downsizing. <br />- Proposed Non-Recurring Charge Changes -Water Works <br />Mr. Andy Wierzbicki, Water Works, suggested a change in charges for the frozen <br />meter fee, delinquency processing fee, and the water and sewer verification fee, <br />proposing. the new charge based on past practices.. <br />- Proposal -Public Relations for Long Term Control Plan -Environmental Services - <br />Perras & Associates <br />Mr. Jack Dillon, Environmental Services, stated the cost of this proposal would be <br />shared with the City of Elkhart and the City of Mishawaka. <br />- Proposal -Overall Surface Water Management Plan and Cost Evaluation for Organic <br />Resources Facility -Hull & Associates <br />Mr. Jack Dillon, Environmental Services, stated this proposal will develop a <br />drainage plan to be incorporated into the Master Plan. <br />- Proposal -Preventative Maintenance for HVAC Units on Site and Lift Stations - <br />Environmental Services -Havel <br />This proposal will provide maintenance for various on-site buildings and lift <br />stations. It is expected this preventative maintenance proposal may be written as <br />a City-wide proposal in the year 2007. <br />- Access Agreement - Kokoku Acquisition <br />Mr. Bill Schalliol, Community and Economic Development, stated the Access <br />Agreement is fb`r the Kokoku'acquisition, at 1217 South Walnut, between the <br />Redevelopment Commission and the Industrial Revolving Fund.. <br />
