(e) Multifamily uses within Area 1, when located in a mixed-use building, <br />shall be permitted signs as an individual commercial tenant and will be <br />permitted building identification signs, as regulated in sub-Sections (a), <br />(b), (c) and (d) above, in proximity to each grade level entrance into the <br />multifamily portion of a building. This provision shall not be construed <br />to allow building identification signs for each individual dwelling unit, <br />but rather to allow signs for the entirety of the dwelling units located <br />within such mixed-use building. <br />(f) Individual Commercial Use or Multifamily Use Identification Signs not <br />specified above shall be regulated by Section 21-07.03 (e) (2) and <br />Section 21-07.03 (e) (4)•of the Sign Regulations for On-Premise Signs: <br />MU &CBD Districts. <br />(2) Area 2, Area 3 or Area 4 -Building identification signs shall be permitted for all <br />individual commercial uses and for multifamily uses located in a mixed-use <br />building located in Area 2, Area 3 or Area 4 as regulated by Section 21-07.03 <br />(e) (2) and Section 21-07.03 (e) (4) of the Sign Regulations for On-Premise <br />Signs: MU &CBD Districts, except as provided below: <br />(a) Encroachment over pubicrights-of--way for an Awning Sign, Canopy <br />Sign or Marquee Sign shall be permitted subject to the approval of the <br />Board of Public Works. <br />(b) Multifamily uses within Area 4, when located in amixed-use building, <br />shall be permitted signs as an individual commercial tenant and will be <br />permitted building identification signs at each grade level entrance into <br />the multifamily portion of a building. This provision shall not be <br />construed to allow building identification signs for each individual <br />dwelling unit, but rather to allow signs for the entirety of the dwelling <br />units located within such mixed-use building. <br />(3) Monument identification signs and building identification signs for multifamily <br />dwelling buildings in Area 4 shall be permitted as set forth in Section 21-07.03 <br />(c): On-Premise Signs: SF1, SF2, MF1 and MF2 Districts, except as provided <br />below: <br />Encroachment over pubic rights-of--way for an Awning Sign, Canopy <br />Sign or Marquee Sign shall be permitted subject to the approval of the <br />Board of Public Works. <br />c. Identification Signs -Area 5, Area 6 and Area 7. <br />Monument identification signs and building identification signs shall be permitted as set <br />forth in Section 21-07.03 (c): On-Premise Signs: SF1, SF2, MFl and MF2 Districts. <br />d.
