to hamper the driver in controlling such vehicle; nor shall any vehicle <br /> be driven with persons on the fenders, running board, or hood, or with <br /> any part of their bodies extending beyond the side or rear lines of the <br /> body of the vehicle. <br /> Section 42. Embracing while driving Vehicles. -- It shall <br /> be unlawful for any person to embrace any person while operating <br /> any vehicle on the streets of South Bend, or for any person to so <br /> operate a vehicle while being subjected to the embraces of any other <br /> person; and it shall be unlawful for any person to embrace any person <br /> so operating any vehicle. <br /> Section 43. Streets divided by Parkway. -- On all streets <br /> divided by parkways, walks, viaduct pillars or electric light standards, <br /> vehicles shall keep to the right of such division. <br /> Section 44. All night Parking,. -- It shall be unlawful for <br /> any person to park ariy vehicle continuously from two o 'clock A. M. <br /> until five o'clock A. M. on any day upon any paved street within the <br /> city. <br /> Section 45. Bus Loading Zones and Taxi Stands. -- For the <br /> • 1 <br /> convenience of the public, zones for the loading and unloading of <br /> passenger busses, and the temporary stationing thereof, and zones or <br /> stands for' taxi-cabs, are hereby established, which the Board of Safety <br /> shall cause to be appropriately marked and designated by signs upon the <br /> curb or otherwise, and no other vehicles shall be permitted to park in <br /> such zones or stands when so marked and designated. <br /> Section 46. Shrubs and plants in the street as obstructions <br /> to be removed. -- It shall be unlawful for any person to plant or <br /> 1I • permit to grow any shrub or plant at or near any street intersection <br /> between the property line and the curb which obstructs or tends to <br /> obstruct the view of operators of vehicles or of pedestrians (including <br /> children) , and in ho ease shall any shrub or plant be allowed to grow <br /> at any such point to a height exceeding two and one-half feet.
