unlawful to park any vehicle in a street with its left side to the curb , or to approach the curb in any such manner for parking or loading or unloading purposes. Section 34. Vehicles loading at right angles to the Curb. -- No vehicle shall be permitted to stand at right angles to the curb for loading or unloading purposes except under conditions where it is im- possible, or an extreme hardship, to do otherwise. Section 35. Making Complete Turn in Street. -- No vehicle shall make a complete or "U" turn in any street within the. Vehictlar . .Loop for the purpose of going in the opposite direction, either at in- tersections orTh-ktween intersections. No such turns shall be made in any other street in the city, if by so doing it interferes with other vehicles. Section 36. Vehicles for Advertising. -- No vehicle, while 1 being used exclusively for advertising purposes, shall be driven u*on any street within the Vehidular Loop. Section 37 . Loads extending to Rear. -- A vehicle when loaded with material projecting more than five feet beyond the rear of the vehicle shall be provided by a visible cloth or flag by day and a red light by night on the extreme rear end of such load. Section 38. Driving through Funeral or other Procession. -- It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle through or interfere with any civic, military or funeral procession. Section 39. Repairing Vehicles in Street. -- It shall be unlawful to repair any vehicle in any street except in cases of emergency, Section 40. Extra passenger on Motor Cycle or Bicycle. -- I No rider of a motor cycle or bicycle on the streets of South Bend shall carry any other person on such motor cycle or bicycle except upon a _ special seat provided to the rear of the operator or in a side-car. Section 41. Occupancy of Vehicle. -- No vehicle shall be driven upon the streets of South Bend with more than two persons in addition to the driver occupying the front seat , provided that this provision shall not apply to a child, under 12 years of age, seated upon the lap of another person in the front seat in such manner as not -12- J
