BE IT ORDAINED BY M COMON COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SOMM BEND <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That it shall be the duty of every person owning <br />any dog within the corporate limits of the City of South Bend, <br />Indiana,over the age of three months,and desiring to permit said <br />dog to run at large,to register said animal with the Board of <br />Public Safety of the City of South Bend,Indiana;and it shall be <br />the duty of the said official to record in a book kept for that <br />purpose the name and address of the owner of said dog, a bfief <br />description of said animal and the registration number assigned to <br />said animal; provided thajn dog registered in the o,Y- <br />fice of the Board of Public dSafety after said animal shell <br />fib been inoculated by a licensed veterinarian with an approved <br />and recognized anti - rabies sev m,and a certificate certifying to <br />such inoculation shall be presented to the clerk of said Board <br />signed by such licensed veterinarian showing that said animal has <br />been inoculatedto a mop s p <br />The Clerk of said Board of Public Safety shall <br />nigh the owner of such animal at the time of registration with a <br />registration reoeipt, and with a metal tag bearing a serial num- <br />ber which shall be attached to said animal's oollar;which shall <br />indicate the registration year for which said license has been <br />issued.
