The following Quotation was opened and read: <br />INDIAN MOTORCYCLE OF LAFAYETTE <br />1165 S. Creasy Lane <br />Lafayette, IN 47905 <br />Quotation was submitted by Michael Warmoth <br />QUOTATION: $17,245.00 <br />Mr. Gilot asked Lieutenant Christopher Voros, Police Department, if he could determine why <br />there was only one (1) quote received and prepare a memo for the Board, noting the City likes to <br />see competition. Lieutenant Voros stated the reason is that there are very few companies that <br />manufacture an electric Police motorcycle and he had to go to manufacturers of Police bikes and <br />request they modify their design. Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Ms. Maradik <br />and carried, the above Quotation was referred to the Police Department and Equipment Services <br />for review and recommendation. After review, Lt. Voros recommended the quote be awarded for <br />two (2) motorcycles to Indian Motorcycle of Lafayette in the amount of $17,245.00 each. Mr. <br />Gilot questioned if the Chief of Police supported the purchase and if it was in the current budget. <br />Lieutenant Voros stated it is in the budget and the Chief does support it. Therefore, Mr. Relos <br />made a motion that the award be approved as outlined above.
