bicycle bearing the corresponding number. <br />Section V. <br />Upon registration of any bicycle, the owner thereof <br />shall be given a registration card. A duplicate of said card <br />shall be kept in.theoffice of the Board of Public Safety. The <br />owner thereof shall preserve said certificate and present same <br />upon demand by any officer of the South Bend. Indiana Police <br />Department to establish title to the bicycle. <br />Section VI. <br />The opposite side of the registration certificate <br />shall maintain a form for the assignment or sale of the bicy- <br />cle, bearing the number of the certificate. <br />Section VII. <br />Any person owning a registered bicycle and desiring <br />to sell, trade or otherwise dispose of said bicycle, shall im- <br />mediately fill out the assignment on the reverse side of the <br />certificate for said bicycle and shall deliver the certificate <br />or registration to the purchaser or recipient of said bicycle. <br />Said purchaser or recipient of said bicycle shall then turn <br />said certificate into the Board of Safety of said city of <br />South Bend, and re-register said bicycle in his name within <br />three (3) days of the purchase or receipt of said bicycle. <br />Section VIII. <br />All persons now owning any bicycle shall resister the <br />same as herein provided within thirty (30) days after the adop- <br />tion of this ordinance, and this certificate shall be for one (1) <br />year, and shall be renewed annually thereafter. <br />Section IX. <br />No person shall alter, remove, deface or mutilate <br />the manufacturer's number, the substituted registered number <br />or the identification tag or registration certificate of any <br />bicycle so registered. <br />Section X. <br />No person shall repaint any bicycle, repaint or re- <br />
