-g- The Plumbing Inspector shall be appointed by the Board of Health and shall hold office at the will of the appointing board, or until his successor is appointed and qualified. He shall be a practical plumber who has had at least ten (10) years actual experience either as a plumber or as an inspector of plumbing and shall also be a resident of the City of South Bend. The present encumbent of such office shall hold the same under the provisions of this ordinance. Section XXIII. Salary of Plumbing Inspector. The annual salary of the Plumbing Inspector shall be Two Thousand Four Hundred ($2,400.00) Dollars per year, payable from the City Treasurer as other salaries are paid. Section XXIV. Necessity of bond. The Plumbing Inspect- or shall execute a bond in the penal sum of Two Thousand ($2,000.00) Dollars, which said bond shall be approved by the City Comptroller for the faithful performance of his duty and shall be executed by some surety company approved by the City Comptroller. Section XXV& wherever the word "Inspector" or "Plumbing Inspector" is used in this Ordinance it shall be construed to mean the Plumbing inspector of the City of South Bend. Section XXVI. Fees. All fees collected by the Inspect- or shall, at the end of each month, be paid to the County Treasurer, acting as City Treausrer, and he shall at the same time file with the City Comptroller a report showing the number of permits issued, and the fees received therefor, together with the Treasurerts receipt for the same. He shall also at the end of each year, or sooner if requested make a report and review of his work to the Board of Health. Section XXVII. Duty.
