Where water closets or other plumbing <br />fixtures are placed under a sidewalk, street, alley or <br />otherlike place, adjoining and opening into the basement <br />of any building, each and every fixture so placed shall <br />be ventilated in the same manner as is provided for other <br />plumbing fixtures in this ordinance, and the water closet <br />compartments shall be adequately lighted and ventilated, <br />and the bowls of such closets must be caulked to the soil <br />pipe or securely bolted to a cast iron flange, or provided <br />with an approved. screw connection. <br />Section CL. When bath room or toilet room fixtures <br />or sinks are replaced by modern fixtures, the waste <br />connections under the floor trapping and vent pipes shall <br />conform to these Rules and Regulations, the same as in a <br />new building. <br />Section CLI. Copper lined wooden bath tubs shall not <br />be installed, nor shall any old fixture of this class be <br />reconnected. <br />Section CLII. Air supply for beer pumps shall be <br />taken from the outside of the building. <br />Section CLIII. Overflow pipes from cisterns shall not <br />connect directly with any house sewer, but drain pipes from <br />bottom of cistern may connect with the sewer if properly <br />valved. <br />Section CLIV. Every dwelling house, hotel, factory, <br />store, or other building in which plumbing or house drainage <br />work or arrangements are to be placed shall be connected with <br />the .public sewer and with the public water mains, which are <br />or may become accessible, and such Connections shall be <br />deemed to be accessible, when such public sewer or public <br />water mains:�are within:. a distance of one hundred (100) <br />feet of any outside line of the lot upon-which said building <br />
