-34- <br />Section CXXIV. Soldering nipples shall be of cast <br />brass, or of brass pipe iron pipe size. When cast, they <br />shall be full bore and not less than standard weight. <br />Section CXXV. Screw caps for cleanouts shall be of <br />extra heavy brash not less than 1/8 of an inch thick. The <br />screw cap shall have asolid square or hexagonal nut not less <br />than one inch high. Cleanout is to be standard make having <br />full bore. <br />Section CXXVI. Connection or hangers, pipe supporters, <br />or fixtures, setting with masonry or stone backing shall <br />be made with expansion bolts without the use of wood plugs. <br />Section CXXVII. Cellars and basements shall be kept <br />free from ground or surface water, and where the same are <br />too low to be drained into the sewer, the water therefrom <br />shall be lifted by a cellar drainer or ejector or other <br />device, approved by the Plumbing Inspector, and discharged <br />into the sewer. <br />Section CXXVIII. Overflow pipes from cisterns shall <br />not connect directly with any house sewer, but drain pipes <br />from bottom of cistern may connect with the sewer if properly <br />valved. <br />Section MIX. The connection with the roof sump must <br />be made with brass ferrule caulked to cast iron or screwed <br />into wrought iron pipe and shall be connected water and air <br />tight to ferrule with an extension joint. Roof sumps shall <br />be constructed of sheet lead not less than 4 lbs. to the <br />square foot. <br />Section CXXX. Sheet lead for roof flashing shall not <br />weigh less than three pounds per square foot, shall be <br />new unused material, shall extend not less than six inches <br />from the pipe and the joint shall be made watertight. All <br />roof flashing around pipes shall be made of lead which <br />shall extend up and be flashed down into said vent pipe. <br />
