-30- South Bend wherein food and drink, or either or both, are served to the public generally. Section OX. In all buildings used jointly for residence and business purposes separate and sufficient water - closets shall be provided for the use of families and for the use of employees and patrons of the place. In tenement houses or apartments a separate closet, bath tub, or shower, lavatory and sink must be provided for each family. Section CXI. No water closet or urinal bowl or trough, excepting anti - freezing closets, shall be supplied directly from the water supply pipes. Every water closet or urinal bowl or trough shall either be flushed by an improved flushometer valve or indirectly flushed through a flushing tank of at least five (5) gallons capacity for each eater closet and two (2) gallons for each urinal. Section CXII. A group of urinals, on the same floor, subject to constant use as in schools and factories may be supplied from one (1) tank, if provided with an automatic simultaneous flush provided that each individual urinal shall receive not less than one (1) gallon of water at each flushing and the discharge is of such force as to cleanse such individual bowl at each flush. All public urinals in saloons, hotels, comfort stations, and similar locations shall be equipped with automatic flush tanks. Section CXIII.
