-29- <br />trap overflow so as to completely submerge any matter <br />deposited in them and properly flush and scout the soil <br />pipe when the contents of the bowl are discharged. <br />Section CIV. All water closets or pedestal urinals <br />shall be provided with flushing rims, constructed so as <br />to flush the entire interior surface of the bowl thereof <br />with water as prescribed in a subsequent section of this <br />Ordinance. <br />Section CV. Water closets with low down tanks shall <br />be of syphon pattern provided with refilling devices. <br />Section CVI. Outside water closets shall not be <br />connected direct to the city water but must be flushed <br />through an approved tank. <br />Section CVII. That outside closets or Frost -proof <br />closets may be placed in a room adjoining any dwelling <br />providing the door to same must not open into said dwelling <br />proper; but must have an entrance to it from the outside <br />only. <br />Section CVIII. In lodging houses and hotels or inns <br />and all places where people are employed, hereafter erected <br />or altered there shall be provided two water closets for <br />every twenty -five males or less and one additional closet <br />eae' a ie}rft-1 least for each additional tenmales or <br />fraction thereof, and two water closets for every twenty <br />females or less and one additional closet for each additional <br />ten females or fraction thereof. The number of water closets <br />required shall be determined by the number of lodging quarters <br />provided or from the number of persons employed. There shall <br />be at least one closet on each floor, except that no general <br />water closet accomodations of any lodging house shall be placed <br />In the basement. <br />Section CIX. Separate water closets shall be provided <br />for male and female persons in all places within the City of <br />
