-3- <br />by the Board of Health, provided, however, that in case of <br />a firm, partnership or corporation such application must be <br />made by a duly authorized and designated agent of such firm, <br />partnership or corporation. At the time of making such <br />application said applicant shall pay to the Board of Health <br />the sum of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars as a fee for the examina- <br />tion. Thereafter at a time and place designated by the <br />Board of Health said applicant shall submit himself before <br />the examining board hereinafter provided for, and answer <br />such questions as may be asked of him by said board or any <br />member thereof relative to the knowledge required by a <br />plumbing contractor. If said applicant properly answers <br />sufficient questions and performs such practical tests to <br />qualify him in the judgment of said examining board to be <br />a plumbing contractor, then said board shall report their <br />findings in writing to the Board of Health. The examina- <br />tion shall be held in the City Hall at South Bend, Indiana. <br />Section IX. An applicant who has failed. to pass a <br />satisfactory examination may re -apply for another examination <br />after the expiration of sixty (60) days by filing another <br />application and paying the prescribed fee. <br />Section X. Examination fees and licenses; Any person <br />desiring to work as a Journeyman Plumber or at plumbing in <br />this city shall be required to submit to an examination <br />before the Board of Examiners herein provided for as to his <br />experience and qualifications in such trade; provided, how- <br />ever, that any person now engaged in the plumbing trade as <br />Journeyman Plumber in this city who has been so engaged for <br />a period of five (5) years or more shall, upon satisfactory <br />proof made therefor, and byfiling a verified statement showing <br />his name, address and length of time he has actually served <br />as a Journeyman Plumber, and upon the payment of Two ($2.00) <br />Dollars to the City Comptroller, upon recommendation by the <br />
