-22- <br />venting. <br />Section LXXIII. All main vents shall be run undiminished <br />and connected full size at their base to the main waste or <br />soil pipe at or below the lowest fixture branch and shall be <br />extended above the roof. They may be connected with the <br />adjoining soil or waste vent one foot above the highest <br />fixture. <br />Section LXXIV. Every branch soil or waste pipe to which <br />a group of two and not more than eight water closets or <br />pedestal urinals only are connected, may be vented by a <br />circuit or loop vent, provided each horizontal branch <br />does not exceed twenty -five (25) feet in length. Connection <br />from such branch shall be taken from Y to TY branches. The <br />vent shall be taken off in front of the last fixture connection, <br />and must rise one foot above the top of the highest fixture <br />before offsetting horizontally or connecting to the branch, <br />main, waste or soil vent. <br />Where other fixtures discharge into said waste line, <br />each fixture must be separately revented. <br />Section LXXV. Where the vent or revent pipes are <br />continuous and traps are ventilated through the waste fitting, <br />the center of the outlet of such fitting shall not be set <br />below the water seal of the trap, and the traps shall not be <br />more than 3 feet from vent stack. <br />Section LXXVI. Horizontal revents below the water line <br />of any fixture shall be offset to vertical as near to the <br />fixture as possible. <br />Solderir4g- unions or nipples usedfor vent or waste <br />connections shall not be wiped direct to lead bend, drum <br />trap or lead waste but said vent pipe connection shall be <br />made of lead to a point of at least six inches above the <br />floor. <br />Section LXXVII. Every fixture trap shall be protected <br />from siphonage and back pressure and air circulation assured <br />
