shall have worked at the trade of practical plumbing for a period of <br />at least five (5) years and shall have passed the examination herein+ <br />after provided for. <br />Section 8: Any person desiring to secure a license as a plumbing <br />contractor, commonly known as a 23aster Plumber, shall make application <br />therefor upon a form to be provided by the Board of Health, provided, <br />however, that in case of a firm, partnership or corporation such <br />application '=at be made by a duly authorized and designated agent of <br />such firm, partnership or oorporation. At the time of making such <br />application such applicant shall pay to the Board of Health the sum of <br />Fifteen ($15x00) dollars as a fee for the examination. Thereafter at <br />a time and place designated by the Board of Health said applicant shell <br />submit himself before the examining board hereinafter provided for, <br />and answer such questions as may be asked of him by said board or any <br />member thereof relative to the knowledge required by a plumbing oon. <br />traotor, If said applicant properly answers sufficient questions and <br />performs such practical tests to qualify him in the Judgement of said <br />board shall report their findings in writing to the Board of Health. <br />The examination shall be held in the City hall at South Bend, Indiana. <br />Section 9: An applicant who has failed to pass a satisfactory <br />examination may re -apply for another examination after the expiratia <br />of sixty (60) days by filing another application aj* paying the <br />prescribed fee. <br />Section 10% Examination fees and licenses% Any person desiring <br />to work as a Journeyman Plumber or at plumbing in this city shall be <br />required to submit to an examination before the Board of Examiners <br />herein provided for as to his experience and qualifioatioite in such <br />trade; provided, however, that any person now engaged in the plumbing <br />trade as Journeyman Plumber in this city who has been so engaged for <br />a period of five (5) years or more shall, upon satisfactory proof made <br />therefor, and by filing a verified statement showing his name, address <br />and length of time he has actually served as a Journeyman plumber, and <br />upon the payment of two ($2.00) dollars to the City Comptroller, upon <br />recommendation by the Hoard of Health, be entitled to receive from the. <br />City Comptroller a Journeyman's license without further examination. <br />
