building drainage or the repairing of any fixtures or traps, or the <br />connection of any domestic hot water heaters or boilers or gas water <br />heaters of any kind or the installation or repairing of any water, <br />waste or vent pipes, drains, water softeners, refrigeration or air <br />conditioning equipment or any other plumbing or drainage work not <br />herein mentioned that is or will be connected to any water service, <br />sewer, cesspool or septic tank except according to and in compliance <br />with the following rules and regulations; <br />Section 2: Scope of ordinance, The provisions and requirements <br />of this ordinance shall apply to all extensions, alterations, changes <br />or additions, or other work to be made or done in plumbing and build. <br />ing drainage in all buildings except as otherwise provided herein, <br />and to the execution of all classes of work usually performed by <br />plumbers and drain layers. <br />Section 3: The term building as herein used shall be any dwell. <br />ing house, hotel, factory, office building, school, theatre, church, <br />hall, opera house, and each store, flat or separate apartment of any <br />store, apartment or flat building or any public building, restaurant, <br />inn or barroom, and any other enclosed structure* <br />Section 4: The term person, wherever used in this ordinance, <br />shall mean any individual, persons, firm, partnership, corporation, <br />or any legal entity. <br />Section 6: License required to do plumbing; It shall be unlaw <br />fal for any person to install or repair f,ny plambing or drainage <br />system or any part thereof within the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />until such person shall have procured a license as Journeyman or <br />Master Plumber as hereinafter provided in accordance with the re- <br />quirements of this Ordinance. <br />Section 6: It shall be unlawful for any person or Journeyman <br />plumber to engage in the business or plumbing contractor until such <br />person shall have first secured a license therfor in accordance with <br />the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 7: Term "Journeyman Plumber" defined: A Journeyman <br />Plumber within the meaning of this Ordinance shall be any persons who <br />
