the schedule or pipe sizes and all pipe used for conducting water under <br />pressure raust be of either strong lewd, galvanized wrought iron pipe, or <br />east iron covered with a coating of asphaltum varnish in accordance with <br />the specifications of the Amerioan Water Viorks =asooiation. <br />Section 120: Where different sizes of pipe or pipes and fittings <br />are to be connected, proper size inoreusers or reducers shall be used. <br />Section 121% All work as herein described shall be performed under <br />the entire supervision of an employing master plumber, properly licensed <br />as herein provided, except, however, that no plumbing work of any kind <br />may be done, or any addition to any plumbing except emergency repairs may <br />be done unless the original plumbing meets all the requirements set forth <br />in the various sections -of this ordinance. In the event that an addition <br />to any plumbing is regtired and the original plumbing job does not conform <br />to this ordinance, a test of the entire plumbing fob must be made by the <br />master plumber before making any addition thereto or alteration thereon* <br />if this test shows that the plumbing installed does not most with the re- <br />quirements of this ordinance the master plumber shall notify the plumbing <br />inspector of this fact and the plumbing inspector shall proceed under this <br />ordinance. In all cases of additional plumbing to any plumbing job that <br />has been installed in accordance with this ordinance a test shall be made <br />of tre additional plumbing work only* <br />Section 123: Brass ferrules shall be best duality brass, not less <br />than 4* inches long and 2*, * and 4* inches in diameter, and not lase <br />then the standard wAighte <br />Section 124: Soldering nipples shall be of *vat brass, or of brass <br />pipe iron pipe size. When east, they shall be full bore and not less than <br />standard weight. <br />Section 125% Screw caps for cleanouts shall be of extra heavy brass, <br />not less than 1/8 of an inch thick.
