SECTION 5. That it shall be unlawful for either the owner <br />or proprietor of any firm, or corporation maintaining, op- MIDLCYEES' PERSONAL <br />erating, or managing any food establishment in the City of CLEANLINESS <br />South Bend, to suffer, permit or allow any employee, officer <br />or agent employed therein or thereabout in the handling of <br />any food product intended for human consumption to be or <br />remain in an unsanitary, filthy or dirty condition, either <br />as to person or clothing while so employed or engaged in the <br />handling of such products intended for human consumption. <br />Every person engaged in the handling of food shall wash the <br />hands and arms thoroughly after using toilet rooms or water <br />closets. <br />No person shall hereafter en�,agel, nor shall any person, <br />firm or corporation employ or allow a person to work for <br />him in the business of handling food in the City of South Bend, <br />FOOD H. 1DLE 'S <br />CERTIFICATE <br />which food is suited for human conscription and is intended <br />for distribution or sale, unless such person shall have filed <br />with the employer a Food Handler's certificate issued by the <br />Department of Public Health as proof that the said person has <br />had a physical examination under rules and regulations pre- <br />scribed by the Department of Public Health, and that the <br />physical examination failed to show that said person was <br />affected by any infectious disease in a communicable stage or <br />was harboring the causative agent of any such disease. <br />In case the employer or ovmer or other person in charge of <br />any such business is himself engaged in the handling of <br />E1__PLCYER TO HAVE <br />CERTIFICATE <br />such foods, this person shall also obtain a Food Handler's <br />Certificate from the Department of Public Health. <br />PACe '1 <br />
