• Solicitation of key prospective companies within 200 miles for interest in the IP @ND <br />facility and opportunity to collaborate with ND faculty and students on technology <br />platform development research and/or commercial projects. <br />• Active pursuit of the most promising identified research / commercialization <br />opportunities as quickly as possible. . <br />• Hosting innovation seminars, conferences and workshops on strategy, business models <br />and go -to- market strategies for faculty, students, alumni and the community with industry <br />experts and companies, funded by the participants with third party sponsorship. <br />• Recommendation and implementation of one or more high profile recognition programs <br />for faculty / students for their work to advance innovation at Notre Dame in the service of <br />mankind. <br />• Ongoing promotion to publicize /promote IP @ND and its programs, progress and <br />accomplishments. <br />• Soliciting local agencies involved or supporting entrepreneurial activity in Michiana, <br />such as the SBDC, for ideas to support IP @ND, with their suggestions catalogued, rated <br />for potential with the best ideas implemented as soon as possible. <br />• Hosting "Silicon Valley- style" networking seminars and mixers for faculty /students /staff, <br />local entrepreneurs, investors, agencies and other interested parties, including the Irish <br />Angels network and other similar ND organizations, such as the ND Alumni Association <br />and the Dooley Society. <br />Those expressing a strong desire for immediate space in the lP @ND will be offered <br />temporary accommodation and services in a nearby location in downtown South Bend. Very cost <br />competitive office space with convenient access to the campus is readily available.
