and the Board. Other members of the advisory committees will bring a diverse, worldwide <br />perspective to the issues and opportunities facing the IP @ND. The IP @ND President/CEO and <br />staff will provide administrative support for the operation of these committees. <br />The Coordinators of Specific Funded Programs are the persons who lead and manage <br />various separately funded programs operated from within the IP @ND. A specific program <br />example might be The INmigration Program to recruit ND- related companies to the park. The <br />directors of these specific programs would not be IP @ND employees. In many cases, they could <br />be faculty members or administrators from collaborating colleges in the region or business <br />professionals. In any case, their positions will be funded from the specific grants and/or by the <br />organization they represent and any assets and liabilities of the specific programs would rest with <br />the grantees. <br />The principal objectives of the IP @ND are to: <br />• Facilitate and enhance the impact of research activities at the University of Notre Dame, <br />to foster accelerated technology platform development, either with established <br />commercial interests or via new start-up ventures, to satisfy basic human requirements. <br />• Explore and exploit multiple pathways for commercial applications of existing or new <br />technology platforms emerging from the University of Notre Dame, or in collaboration <br />with other universities or colleges (e.g., IUSB, Purdue, SMC, etc.). <br />• Create experiential educational opportunities for faculty, graduate and undergraduate <br />students, staff and others affiliated with the Innovation Park. <br />• Facilitate the transplantation of viable new ventures into the Michiana area. <br />The fundamental operational strategies of the lP @ND are to: <br />Page 13 of 23 <br />
