REGULAR MEETING <br />REPORT OF COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE: <br />To the Common Council of the City of South Bend; <br />FEBRUARY 11, 1957 <br />Your Committee of the Whole, to whom was referred AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF ROBINHOOD COURT, FROM MICHIGAN <br />STREET (U. S. HIGHWAY NO. 31), EAST TO BARBIE STREET, TO BARBIE STREET, Respectfully report that they have examined <br />the matter and that in their opinion it should be reported favorable. <br />G. W. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4141 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO OFFICE OF CITY JUDGE, ACCOUNT E -13 SPECIAL <br />(PAUPER) ATTORNEY FUND THE SUM OF $1200.00, ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, FOR 1957 AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY EMERGENCY. <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, 1 absent, Councilman Christman <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4142 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO CHANGE THE NAME OF ROBINHOOD COURT, from MICHIGAN STREET ( U.S. HIGHWAY NO. 31) <br />EAST TO BARBIE STREET, TO BARBIE STREET <br />The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 7 ayes (Councilmen Korpal, Carr, Tellson, <br />Kroll, Glass, Hahn, Erler ), 1 nay, (Councilman Muszynski), 1 absent, (Councilman Christman). <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION: <br />Annual report of City Plan Commission. <br />Councilman Muszynski made a motion that the report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Glass seconded the <br />motion. Kelsey to zone from "A" Residential to "C" Commercial and "D" Height and Area <br />District lots 1, 2,' and 3 of Logan Heights Proposed Addition; was legally advertised under date of 28 January 1957 <br />andt)�iven public hearing under `date of 8 February 1957. The following action was taken: <br />The Commission found that the other three corners of the intersection of Jefferson and Logan Streets <br />are being used commercially and are so zoned. Councilman Hahn seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702, APPROVED JUNE 14, 1949, OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, AND <br />PUBLISHED JUNE 21, 1949, SO FAR AS THE SAME RELATES TO LOTS NUMBERED ONE (1), TWO (2) AND THREE (3) IN <br />THE PROPOSED ADDITION OF LOGAN HEIGHTS. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Muszynski made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Carr seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, 0 nays, <br />1 absent (Councilman Christman). The Ordinance was then given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes, <br />0 nays, 1 absent, Councilman Christman. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING FROM THE GENERAL FUND THE SUM OF $1,900.00, TO OFFICE OF THE <br />BOARD, ACCOUNT H -726, OTHER EQUIPMENT (PUBLIC ADDRESS SYSTEM) AND FROM ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT V -38, <br />GENERAL SUPPLIES, THE SUM OF $172.50 TO ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT V -725, OFFICE EQUIPMENT (TYPEWRITER) <br />ALL OF THE BUDGET FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR 1957. AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY <br />EMERGENCY. <br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. <br />Councilman Carr made a motion that the Ordinance be set for public hearing on February 25, 1957. Councilman Kroll <br />seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />AWenr rrrTnu <br />WHEREAS, the State of Indiana is enjoying great growth and development, and <br />
