That it is contemplated that a gymnasium and auditorium be erected on a portion of the real estate <br />fronting on Dale Avenue, which said use will be an accessory building incident to the operation of the private <br />school to which use the property is presently being put andthat such use is not permitted as a matter of right <br />in "A" Residential District but is allowed under "B" Residential clarification. <br />Your petitioner would further state and say that the granting of this petition as prayed for would not impair <br />the value of the property in the immediate vicinity or in any way damage the health, morals, or the general well <br />being of the community but would in fact tend to protect the health, morale and general well being of the commun <br />WHEREFORE, your petitioner respectfully asks that said above described real estate be changed to the zoning and <br />the Height andkrea Districts prayed for above. <br />Bishop John F. Motion carried. <br />MEMO TO THE CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />With reference to amendment to zoning Ordinance No. 3702 changing the Hennings property on East Jefferson Blvd. <br />from "Alt residential to "B" residential and which was returned to the Plan Commission for further study. The <br />motion returning this ordinance to the Flan Commission having been carried by a voice vote. The Council feels <br />that their thinking in this matter has not been clearly understood. The Council is not opposed to the hospital, <br />but does not.favor changing the zoning classification from "A" residential. to "B" residential. <br />The Coun oil 'would therefore suggest that the Plan Commission give some consideration to placing hospitals in the <br />"A" residential classification, giving some thought to restrictions, eteerequired, such as: <br />10 Minimum lot areas to be about 4 acres or more. <br />2. No part of any building to be less than 50 feet from <br />any bounding lot or street line, <br />39 Adequate space provided for off street parking. <br />4. Restrictions to height limitations to two stories. <br />The foregoing is merely a suggestion of approximate restrictions which might be included. <br />This memorandum was adopted by unanimous vote of the Council. <br />Walter C.
