757 <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of Roy E. Bullard for change of zoning of lots 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Kensington Addition and lot 37 in <br />Kaley's Second Lincoln Way Addition from B residence and A height and area districts to C commercial and D <br />height and area districts was given public hearing at the meeting of the City Plan Commission on November 1, <br />1951, and this change is recommended as petitioned for. <br />These lots are on the north side of Lincolnway West between Meade and Kaley Streets. <br />Yours truly, <br />D. Motion <br />carried. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3846 <br />AN ORDINANCE REDUCING CERTAIN ITEMS IN THE 1951 SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, MUNICIPAL CIVIL CITY BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING FROM <br />THE GENERAL FUND OF SAID CITY THE SUM OF TWELVE THOUSAND SIX <br />- HUNDRED ($12,600.00) DOLLARS, TO CERTAIN OTHER BUDGETARY ITEMS <br />OF THE 1951 BUDGET OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EXTRAORDINARY <br />EMERGENCY. <br />The ordinance was given given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes -.0 nays. <br />Mr. Frederick K. Baer, City Attorney, informed the Council that bids have previously been received, but did not <br />have sufficient funds to let the contract and that the low bidder agreed to hold our bid open until the Council <br />appropriated this additional sum. As soon as the Council appropriates and approves this additional sum, the <br />contract wil-l- be let for the construction of a new fire station on Portage Avenue at Queen Street. <br />ORDINANCE NO.` 3847 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING - ORDINANCE N0. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN AS <br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE -OF THE CITY OF SOUTH B&D, INDIANA. <br />(Unplatted tract of land on the South side of Linoolnway <br />West, East of Sheridan Avenue) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - <br />0 nays. <br />The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 3848 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN <br />AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE. <br />(Property at the Northeast corner of Ireland Road and <br />Miami Street and extends North to the property of <br />St. Mary's Academy) <br />The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Glass made a motion for <br />suspension of rules. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion.
