REGULAR MEETING REPORT OF CITY PLAN COIDAISSION To the Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: MARCH 26TH, 1951 Petition of Bela and Mary Keresztes for change of zoning of Lot #2 in Citizens Homes Co. Replat of Lots No. 1, 2, 3, 4, 21 and 22 in Walnut 4th Addition from C commercial and D height and area district to B residence and A height and area district has been given public hearing by the City Plan Commission. This change is recommended as petitioned for. This lot is on North side of Prairie Avenue East of Jackson Street. This lot is near the lots petitioned for change by Alex Kovacsics et. al. and the change is the same so all of these can be included in the same ordinance. CITY PLAN COMMISSION By: D. Moomaw, Secretary Councilman Korpal made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION To the Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: Petition of Alex Kovacsics et. al. for change of zoning of Lots #49 and 52 in Whiteman's First Addition and Lots #59, 60, 85, 88 and 89 in Prairie Avenue Heights Addition from C commercial and D height and area districts to B residence and A height and area districts has been given public hearing by the City Plan Commission. This change is recommended as petitioned for. These lots are in the 1900 and 2000 block Prairie Avenue. They are not continuous along the street but the City Plan Commission is studying the zoning in that area with the idea cf changing other lots on those blocks residential. CITY PLAN COMMISSION By: D. Moomaw, Secretary Councilman Korpal made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Bestle seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDMANCE NO. 3805 " AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1952, AND REFE ALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 3806 AN ORDINANCE ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR THE SALE OF THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED REAL RESTATE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, INDIANA, TO -WIT: Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot Numbered G2 in Wenger and Kreighbaums Vistula Avenue Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, thence Northerly parallel with the East line of Lincoln Way East 136.7 feet; thence East 30 feet; thence North 50 feet; thence East to the St. Joseph River; thence Southwesterly to a point directly East of the place of beginning; thence West to the place of beginning, subject to the right of the City of South Bend to construct an interceptor sewer across said land at the approximate location and depth as shown on the plans for the interceptor sewer in the Engineer's Office of said city. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. ORDINANCE NO. 3807 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 COMMONLY KNOWN . AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (Lot on the North side of Prairie Avenue East of Jackson Street) The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Tellson made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Korpal seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays.
