REGULAR MEETING PETITION STATE OF INDIANA ) s s ST. JOSEPH COUNTY ) To the City Plan Commission for the City of South Bend, Indiana FEBRUARY 26TH. 1951 698 The undersigned, Leota Jordan, single and of adult age, hereby petitions for a change of zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, to -wit: The Lot Numbered Eight (8) as shown on the recorded plat of C. R. Smith's First Subdivision to the City of South Bend, Indiana, from "A " Use District and "A" Height and Area District to "A -1 " Use District and "A " Height and Area District. In support of said petition, she respectfully shows to your Honorable Body that she is the owner in Fee Simple of the above- described real estate; that said plot is situated in the middle of the block on the west side of the 1100 block of Wilber Street, between Humboldt on the north and Vassar Street on the south. WHEREFORE, petitioner prays that the Plan Commission take appropni t-e_ ction to effectuate said zoning change and files herein a proposed form of'�'ordinance for submission to' the Common Council of the City of South Bend, State-of Indiana. Jordan, hereby petitions for a change of zoning classification of the following described real estate in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, to wit: The South one -half (.._) of Lot Numbered Seven (7) as shown on the recorded plat of C. R. Smith's First Subdivision to the City of South Bend, Indiana, from "A " Use - District and "A" Height and Area District to "A -1" Use District and "A" Height and Area District. REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE To the Common Council of the City of South Bend: February 26th, 1951 Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "An Ordinance appropriating from the General Fund of the Civil City of South Bend, Indiana, the sum of Four Thousand Five Hundred ($4,500.00) Dollars, to the Office of the Board, and declaring an extraordinary emergency ". Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance should remain in the Committee of the 'Whole until the next meeting of the Committee on March 12th for further consideration. STANLEY C. KORPAL, Chairman Councilman Kemper made a motion that the report be accepted: Councilman Glass seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 3800 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED INTO ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY AND THROUGH THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY, AND THE BURROUGHS ADDING MACHINE COMPANY, $2,622.50; ALSO A CONTRACT MADE AND ENTERED INTO ON BEHALF OF THE WATER WORKS DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BY AND THROUGH THE BOARD OF WATER WORKS COMMISSIONERS, AND THE LAYNE - NORTHERN COMPANY, INC., $17,633.00. The ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Korpal made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Muszynski seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays.
