of the City of South Bend, Number 3702, adopted June 13, 1949, by changing the zoning of Lots Numbered One <br />Hundred Forty -eight (148) and One Hundred Forty -nine (149) of Swygert "s Second Addition, from "B" and "A" <br />Height and Area Districts to "C" and "E" Height and Area Districts. The petitioners herein are owners of <br />said lots. <br />(Signed) JOSEPH J. Counoil of the City of South Bends <br />January 9, 1950 <br />Your - Committee of the Mole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 {COMMONLY KNOM AS <br />THE ZONING ORDINANCE", (Lots 10 to 26 inclusive and 53 to 62 inclusive, etc.) <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance should go to <br />the 0ounoil as favorable.. <br />STANLEY Co KORPAL, Chairman <br />Councilman Niezgodski made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WROLE <br />To "the Common Council of the City of South Bends &nuary 9, 1950 <br />Your Committee of the Whole to whom was referred "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 3702, A& AMENDED, WHICH <br />ORDINANCE IS CWONLY CALLED THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA ". <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the natter and that in their opinion this ordinance be referred <br />back to the City Plan Commission for the reason that people on Mishawaka Avenue do not want that type of <br />building across from Pottawatomie Park. <br />STANLEY Co KORPAL, Chairman <br />Councilman Kemper made a motion that -the report be accepted. Councilman Tellsom seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />Members of the Common Council <br />Council Chambers, City Hall <br />South Bend, Indiana <br />Gentlemens <br />December 29, 1949 <br />Attached hereto please find copies of reports submitted by Mr. X lliam Qualls, Electrical Superintendent. <br />Mr. Qualls informed the Board that lights ordered in at Ironwood Drive and Rockne :Drive; Ironwood Drive and <br />Corby Street; Corby and Eisenhower Streets; Flag Street and Eisenhower Street; Indiana Avenue and Magnolia <br />Street; Cushing Street and Bryan Street; Huron Street and Kenmore Street; Prairie Avenue and Morris Street; <br />Morris Street and Ewing Avenue; and a change from 1040 lumen light to 4000 lumen light at Donald and Morris <br />Street have been installed and are now in service* <br />Very truly yours, <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY <br />Freda G. Motion carried.' <br />REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />Members of the Common Council <br />Council Chambers, City Hall December 21, 1949 <br />South Bend, Indiank <br />Gentlemen: <br />Attached hereto please 'find copies of reports submitted by Mrs William Qualls, Electrical Superintendent for <br />street lights at the following locations: Chapin and Bruce Streets; Tasher and Jennings Streets; Alt geld and <br />Carroll Streets, Sherman Avenue and Culver Streets; at an alley intersection between-Howard and.Corby Street <br />running from Hill to Lawrence Street; Stover 'Court between Jefferson and Bayne Street; Bryan and Cushings <br />Streets; Studebaker and Fassnaeht Street; Elmer and Humboldt Streets; Carlisle and Linden Avenue; Huey and Prast <br />Boulevard. <br />Mr. Qualls informed the Board that lights ordered in at Olive and Bull& Streets; Lebanon Street between Indiana <br />Avenue and Broadway and 28th Street; 30th Street; 31st,Street; 32nd Street between Pleasant Street and North <br />Side Boulevard; and at the intersection of 29th Street and North Side Boulevard and 29th Street and Pleasant <br />Street have been installed and are now in service.
