Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion this ordinance shall go to the Council as favorable. STANLEY C. KORPAL, Chairman Councilman Kemper made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT OF CITY PLAN COMMISSION To the Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: May 22, 1948 Petition of Earl C. Hollis, et al for change of zoning classification of property on the south side of Mishawaka Avenue between 25th and 26th Streets from "B" Residence and "A" Height and Area Districts to "C" Commercial and "E" Height and Area District was acted upon by the City Plan.Commission at a Special Meeting on May 21st for which public hearing was advertised. The City Plan Commission recommends this change as petitioned for. D. Moomaw, Seely. Councilman Erler made a motion that the !City Attorney be instructed to draw up an ordinance according to recommendations of the (City Plan Commission. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. REPORT -OF CITY PLAT? COMMISSION To the-Common Council City of South Bend, Indiana Gentlemen: May 22, 1948 The original petition for change of zoning classification of a large area in LaSalle Park Addition has been amended to include only the south 120 feet of Lots 1034, 1037, and the north 120 feet'of Lots 1033, 1048, 1053 together with Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Russell Subdivision of Lot 1068 of LaSalle Park Addition. The City Plan Commission considered this amendecpetition at a special meeting May 21, 1948 at which this matter was advertised for public hearing. This change is recommended as asked in the amended petition. D. Moomaw, Seely. The location of this property is shown on accompanying plat. Councilman Erler. made a motel on.that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up an ordinance according to recommendations of the City -Plan Commission. Councilman Tellson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Public Hearing on this matter was held at that time as required by state law. This change is recommended by the City Plan Commission. D. Moomaw, Seely. Councilman Korpal made a motion that the report be accepted. ;Councilman Kemper seconded the motion. Motion carried. This ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Korpal made a motion that the Ordinance be referred to the Committee of the %.ole for Public Hearing on June 7, 1948, at 8:00 P.M.
