REPORT OF THE CITY PLAN COMMISSION: April 5th, 1946. To The Common Council, City of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: The City Plan commission considered the proposed ordinance for change of zoning classification of property fronting on E. Hefferson Blvd., from 29th St., East 2 mile. This is unplatted land extending 1800 ft. north from its frontage on Jefferson Blvd., It is the recommendation of the City Plan Commission that no change be made in the zoning classification of property on E. Jefferson Blvd. D. MOOMAW, Secy Councilman Bishop made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Heideman seconded the motion. Motion carried. At.their_.regulde= meeting April 4th, 1946, The City Plan Commission considered the petition of the Walnut Grove Mutual Housing Corporation for change of zoning classification of the property of the Project. This property fronts on E. Jefferson Blvd., from 26th St., to 29th St. It is the recommendation of the City Plan:Commission that no change be made in the zoning classification of property on E. Jefferson Blvd. Councilman Bishop made a motion that the report be accepted. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO: 3555 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2331 Parry's Second Addition to the City o South Bend) (Eddy Street across from Jefferson School) D. MOOMAW, Secy Councilman Brannan seconded the motion. The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 8 ayes - 0 nays - one absent (HU11) ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2331 COMJ0 4Y KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. (Bercliff Estate) The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Richardson made a motion that the Ordinance be set for Public Hearing'on April 22nd, 1946, but later change to April 29th, 1946. Councilman Brannan seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING $600.00 FROM THE STREET AND TRAFFIC FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIAPyA, TO AN INSURANCE ACCOUNT IN THE BUDGET OF THE STREET DEPARTMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE MENDER YEAR 1946 AND APPROPRIATING SAID $600.00 FOR THE USE OF SAID FUND: DECLARING AND EMERGENCY. The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Bishop made a motion that the Ordinance be set for Public Hearing on April 22nd, 1946, but later changed to April 29th, 1946. Councilman Brannan seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE REGULATING METHODS OF DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF WARM AIR WINTER AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS, AND OF GRAVITY WARM AIR HEATING SYSTEMS AND REGULATING THE ALTERATION, REPAIR, REMODELING AND REPLACEMENT OF SUCH SYSTEMS OR PARTS OF SYSTEMS IN BUILDINGS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Richardson made a motion that the Ordinance be held up until each of the Councilmen is furnished with a copy of the Ordinance. Councilman Brannan seconded the motion. Motion carried.
