AFT ORDINANCE RMCING'THE SPONSORSHIP OF "W.P.A PROJECTS, BUDGETARY ITEM PROVIDED FOR III <br />THE. 1941 --BUDGET, OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC `p MS FOR THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, DANA. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the ordinance be referred to <br />the Committee of the 'Whole for public hearing September 22nd. Councilman Heideman seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />After further discussion of the above ordinance, Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the motion to refer the ord- <br />inance to the Committee of the Whole a nd the ordinance itself be withdrawn. Councilman Hull seconded the motion . <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND'OF THE DEPARTMENT <br />OF PUBLIC PARKS OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR EMERGENCY PURPOSES. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman Pulaski made a motion that the ordinance as corrected <br />be referred to the Committee of the Whole for public hearing September 22. Councilman McCarthy seconded the motion. <br />Motion carried. <br />ORDINANCE <br />AN ORDINANCE FOR THE EMERGENCY .APPROPRIATION OF $10,600.00, AND FOR THE TRANSFER <br />THEREOF FROM THE GENERAL FUND OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND TO AN ACCOUNT KNOWN AS <br />B15, BEING THE INTEREST ACCOUNT OF THE CONTROLLER OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the ordinance be referred <br />to, the Committee of the whole for public hearing September 22. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried. <br />)RDINANCE NO. 3393 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF CERTAIN PAYMENTS IN LIEU OF TAXES FROM <br />THE UNITED STATES OF MJERICA, APPROVING A FORM OF CONTRACT AUTH THE UNITED STATES OF <br />AMERICA WITH RESPECT THERETO, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SAID CONTRACT. <br />The ordinance was given first and second reading. Upon motion of Councilman Jordan, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, <br />a roll call vote was taken for suspension of the rules and carried by a vote of 9 ayes - O nays. The ordinance was <br />given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes - 0 nays. <br />Councilman Jordan made a motion that the'City Attorney be instructed to draw an anti - noise ordinance. Councilman <br />Heideman seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Heideman requested that the City Attorney draw an ordinance making it necessary for all trucks to carry <br />the name and address df the owner. <br />Councilman Jordan asked to be relieved of the duties as a member of the City Plan Committee. President Riphardson <br />accepted his resignation with regret and stated a successor would be appointed at the next Council meeting. <br />There being n <br />o further business, Councilman McCarthy made a motion for adjournment.
