1284 <br />Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana, met in regular session, Monday, Septembe 7 + <br />8, 1941, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, at 7:32 P.M. with all members present. President Richardson presided. <br />The reading of the minutes of the previous meeting was waived. <br />A communication signed by Ernest H. Miller, City Traffic Engineer, explained the parking situation on Portage Avenue. <br />Councilman Hull made a motion that the communication be filed. Councilman Bishop seconded the motion. Motion carrie . <br />REPORT OF CITY PLAN COIRAISSION Sept. 5 1941 <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Bend, .Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of Helen Pawlowski et al, for change of zoning of property on both sidesof North Michigan Street from <br />Bartlett Street to the first alley south from residence to commercial district was considered by the City Plan Comm- <br />ission at their meeting Sept. 4th. <br />This change is recommended. <br />The proposed change of the middle portion of this block was recommended for the same change at a previous meeting. <br />These changes together will include Lots #10,11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of Bartlett's 1st Addition and Lots #51 69 71 8, <br />9, 10, 11 and 12 of Rockstroh Bros. Addition. <br />D. Moomaw, Sect. <br />Councilman McCarthy made a motion that the report be accepted. Councilman Niezgodski seconded the motion. Motion <br />carried.— <br />REPORT OF CITY`PLAN CCWIISSION September 5, 1941 <br />To the Common Council <br />City of South Mend, Ind. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Petition of John M. Stier of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for change of zoning classification of Lots <br />#1 2 & 3 Logan Heights proposed addition was considered by the City Plan Commission at their meeting Sept. 4th.. <br />Inasmuch as this requested change is intended to accommodate no commercial enterprise other than a signboard, the <br />City Plan Commission voted to defer their action on this change and recommend that the petitioner seek relief thro <br />the Board of Zoning Appeals. <br />D.
