I believe you will agree that <br />our City is lacking in directional signs which refer to proper-speeds end other directions in <br />the matter of driving.. <br />Treffic Sims <br />Stated speed signs to replace stop signs where a full stop- is not required. New, park - -' <br />-i.ng regulation signs for downtown district Speed limit signs, to be used on all main highways <br />entering the city. NO parking this side of street signs, to be used to replace old worn out sigr, <br />now in use. City Limits Signs, -to be used on all main highways entering the city. Sins for <br />speed of 'trAffic signals, to be used to inform motorist of the speed to drive so> as to make all <br />signals without a stop. Total Estimated Cost $1000. This is a. non - recurring item. <br />i <br />Accident Prevention Bureau <br />In order to provide the proper authority within the recently,estebli.shed Accident Pre -II <br />vention Bureau, within the Police Department, the person in charge should hold the rank of ser- <br />geant. Motion carried. <br />A letter ind affirm?�tion from the-State Board of Tax Commissioners were read in regard <br />to Ordinance #3166, #3167, #3168 #3169, #3170, #3171, #3172, #3173, #3174 and #3175 for additioi <br />el appropriations in the sum of 412,167.55, Ordinance #3166 was dis- allowed, making; the addittoi <br />el- appropriations $111892.55. <br />Councilman James moved. said be placed nn file. Councilman Bierwagen seconded the motion. motioi <br />carried. <br />A letter end affirmation from the State Board of Tax Commissioners were reed in regpid <br />to Ordinance #3179 for additional appropriations in the amount of $5,461.00. <br />Councilman James moved said be placed on file.
