<br />ORDINANCE NO. 4969 -68
<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
<br />WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />AND GATES CHEVROLET CORP., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE FOLLOWING: ONE (1) 3/4 TON
<br />PICKUP TRUCK IN THE SUM OF $1,915.00, ONE (1)
<br />25,000 LB. CAB AND CHASSIS IN THE SUM OF $3,960.00
<br />AND ONE "(1) 25,000 LB. CAB AND CHASSIS IN THE
<br />SUM OF $3,990.00.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Wise made a motion
<br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of
<br />9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays,
<br />0 absent. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Mr. Howard Goodhew, Water Works Superintendent. Councilman
<br />Reinke made a motion that the Ordinance be passed by a roll call vote. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the
<br />motion. Motion carried. The ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes,
<br />(Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays, 0 absent.

<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE
<br />WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />AND DWYER EQUIPMENT CO., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA,
<br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE 130" BODY W /VALVE
<br />OPERATOR INSTALLED IN THE SUM OF $1,888.00 AND
<br />ONE 148" BODY IN THE SUM OF $2,043.00.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Wise made a motion
<br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of
<br />9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays,

<br />AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WASTEWATER
<br />TREATMENT PLANT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND
<br />INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO., INC., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA
<br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF A 25,000 LB. DUMP TRUCK IN THE SUM
<br />OF $5,085.14.
<br />The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Palmer made a motion
<br />for suspension of rules. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of
<br />9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays,
<br />0 absent. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Mr. Louis Rague, Superintendent of the Wastewater
<br />Treatment Plant. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion for passage of the Ordinance by a roll call vote.

<br />SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF A
<br />25,000 LB. CAB AND CHASSIS IN THE SUM OF $3,961.00.
