q� REPORT OF CITY CONTROLLER The Report of the City Controller for the month of November, 1967 was submitted to the Council; each Councilman having received a copy of the report prior to the meeting. Councilman Grounds made a motion that the Report be accepted and placed on file. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCES, FIRST AND SECOND READING ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 3702 AS HERETOFORE AMENDED AID SUPPLEMENTED AND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA CHAPTER 40, ET SEQ., AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED AND ADOPTED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL BY ORDINANCE NO. 4608 -63 (Location: 1323 N. Ironwood). The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Allen made a motion that ORDINANCES. FIRST AND SECOND READING the Ordinance be set for public hearing on January 22, 1968.Councilman Grounds seconded the motion. Motion carried. ORDINANCE NO. 4965 -68, AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING ALL RkRKING METER FEES AND FUNDS FOR THE YEAR 1968 TO THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CIVIL CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE USES AND PUR- POSES SET FORTH THEREIN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CHAPTER 236 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF INDIANA OF 1945, AS AMENDED BY CHAPTER 303 OF THE ACTS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF 1951. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in.ful1-Councilman Wise made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Reinke seconded the motion. Public hearing was held on the Ordinance at this time. Speaking in favor of the Ordinance was Mr. Alvin Reeder, Manager of the Parking Meter Department. Councilman Wise then moved for passage of the Ordinance. Councilman Szymkowiak seconded the motion. Motion carried. The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski). 0 nays, 0 absent. ORDINANCE NO. 4966 -68 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A TEMPORARY LOAN FROM THE WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT TO THE SOUTH BEND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $150,000.00, AS AMENDED The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Allen made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski) 0 nays, 0 absent. Councilman Allen made a motion that the Ordinance be amended in paragraph 5 by the insertion of the words "or revenues after the words "of taxes ". Councilman Wise seconded the motion. Motion carried. Councilman Szymkowiak then made a motion that the Ordinance be passed by a roll call vote, a6 amended. Councilman Wise seconded the motion. The Ordinance was given third reading and passed by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays, 0 absent ORDINANCE NO. 4967 -68 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WATER WORKS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND JORDAN'S FORD CITY, INC., MISHAWAKA, INDIANA, FOR PURCHASE OF A 4 -DOOR SEDAN IN THE SUM OF $1,781.67. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Wise made a motion for suspension of rules. Councilman Palmer seconded the motion Motion carried by a roll call vote of 9 ayes, (Councilmen Laven, Allen, Craven, Reinke, Grounds, Szymkowiak, Wise, Palmer and Zielinski), 0 nays, 0 absent. ORDINANCE NO. 4968 -68 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE WATER WORKS OF THE+CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AND HAROLD MEDOW, INC., SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE FOLLOWING: ONE 1/2 TON PICKUP TRUCK IN THE SUM OF $2,389.50 AND ONE 18,000 LB. CAB AND CHASSIS IN THE SUM OF $3,492.80. The Ordinance was given first reading by title and second reading in full. Councilman Wise made a motion for suspension of rules.
