REGULAR MEETING MAY 30, 1972
RESOLUTION 305 -72 (CONTINUED)
asked if this unexpended money means that the Model Cities program is overbudgeted. Mr. Lennon
replied that this is not the case. The Model Cities program has a reprogramming cycle and every
three months they are allowed to go back and regroup money not spent and use it in another area.
Mr. Al Williams, 1154 W. Jefferson St., asked Mr. Lennon if Model Cities has been using repro-
grammed money since January without Council approval. Mr. Lennon said no but that the Council
must approve any funds over $25,000 and that is why this resolution is being presented now since
the amount involved is over that figure. Odessa Brown, 230 N. Sadie Street, and Sylvia Jones,
229 N. Sadie Street, questioned Mr. Lennon about some of the problems that have developed with
the Model Cities trash pick -up program. Mrs. Ann Wlodarski, 1869 Riverside Drive, said she
thought the tax - paying citizens should see a report on the total amount of money that is going
into the Model Cities area from all sources. Councilman Szymkowiak made a motion that the reso-
lution be adopted, seconded by Councilman Parent, and the motion carried.
