(East Bank <br />Master Plan) <br />B. Tax Abatements <br />(1) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2468 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 919 and 923 Notre <br />Dame Avenue in the Northeast <br />Neigbhorhood Development Area. <br />(Richard S. and Micki Kidder) <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />project. The Kidders plan to construct a <br />2,800 sft single family home with three <br />bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, dining <br />room, laundry room, library, and mudroom. <br />The cost of construction will be <br />approximately $415,000. Total taxes to be <br />abated during the five-year abatement period <br />are $2,216. Total taxes to be paid during the <br />abatement period are $21, 976. <br />The Kidders have received no previous tax <br />abatements. The property is properly zoned <br />for the proposed use. The property is located <br />in the Northeast Neighborhood Development <br />Area; therefore, it must come before the <br />Redevelopment Commission for approval. <br />The project qualifies for a residential tax <br />abatement under the tax abatement <br />ordinance. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake, seconded by <br />Dr. Varner and unanimously carried, the <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2468 <br />APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR REAL <br />PROPERTY TAX DEDUCTION FOR PROPERTY <br />17 <br />
