Tax Abatements <br />(1) continued... <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2468 <br />approving an application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at 919 and 923 <br />Notre Dame Avenue in the Northeast <br />Neigbhorhood Development Area. (Richard <br />S. and Micki Kidder) <br />(2) Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 2469 approving an <br />application for real property tax deduction <br />for property located at 225 Garst St. in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area <br />(James & Sandra McCune) <br />Mr. Mathia gave the staff report on the <br />project. The McCunes plan to construct a <br />3,600 sft addition to an existing building to <br />house Mr. McCune's masonry business and <br />provide more rental space for tenants that <br />share the building. The addition would be a <br />steel building with an all-brick front. It will <br />have 1,350 sft of office space and 2, 250 sft <br />of shop space. Initial plans call for leasing a <br />portion of the building until the McCune's <br />business requires the entire space. The total <br />cost of the project is expected to be <br />$203,500. Assuming a four year abatement, <br />total taxes to be abated during that period are <br />estimated at $6,507. Total taxes to be paid <br />on the project during that same period are <br />expected to be $61,491. The project is <br />expected to create six new, full-time jobs and <br />one part time job representing a new annual <br />payroll of $180,000. The project will also <br />retain twelve existing permanent full-time <br />LOCATED AT 919 AND 923 NOTRE DAME <br />AVENUE IN THE NORTHEAST NEIGHBORHOOD <br />DEVELOPMENT AREA. (RICHARD S.
