215f <br />REGULAR MEETING FEBRUARY 8,_ <br />1982 <br />BILLS, SECOND READING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7024 -82 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 4990 -68, AS AMENDED, <br />COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA (CHAPTER 21, MUNICIPAL CODE.) (NORTHWEST COR- <br />NER OF RIVERSIDE AND ANGELA.) <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Beck made a motion to amend this bill, <br />as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member Taylor. The <br />motion carried. Council Member Taylor made a motion to pass this bill, as amended, <br />seconded by Council Member Beck. The bill passed by a roll call vote of seven ayes <br />and one nay (Council Member Dombrowski.) <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7025 -82 <br />AN ORDINANCE RECODIFYING CHAPTER 1 AND A PORTION OF CHAPTER <br />2 OF THE SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a <br />bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by <br />motion carried. Council Member Taylor made a motion to pass <br />seconded by Council Member Beck. Council Member Beck made a motion to pass this bill, <br />seconded by Council Member Dombrowski. The bill passed by a roll call vote of eight <br />ayes. <br />RESOLUTIONS <br />RESOLUTION NO. 942 -81 <br />A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE ADOPTION OF A DECLARATORY RESOL- <br />UTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREA WITHIN THE CITY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, COMMONLY KNOWN AS PARCEL 1, MONROE SAMPLE AREA, 800 <br />BLOCK LINCOLN WAY EAST TO BE AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT AREA FOR <br />PURPOSES OF REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT AND A DETERMINATION <br />OF THE PUBLIC UTILITY AND BENEFIT OF THE PROJECT PROPOSED <br />FOR TAX ABATEMENT CONSIDERATION. <br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of South Bend has adopted a Declaratory Resolution <br />designating certain areas within the City as Urban Development Areas for purposes of <br />tax abatement consideration; and <br />WHEREAS, a Declaratory Resolution designating the area commonly known as and <br />more particularly described by a line drawn as follows: <br />Lots 107, 108, 109, 110, 111,112, 113 and 114 in Rush's 4th Addition to the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana, as found in Plat Book 4, page 54; EXCEPT the Northerly 19.5 feet <br />of said Lot 107 thereof. <br />ALSO, lot 115 of Rush's 4th Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana as fund in <br />Plat Book 4, page 54, EXCEPT the Northerly 19.5 feet: ALSO, Lot C in Frantz 3rd <br />Addition to the City of South Bend, Indiana, as found in Plat Book 5, page 17: ALSO, <br />part of Lot 1 and part of Lot D in said Frantz' 3rd Addition to the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the Westerly line of <br />Lincoln Way East, beging the most Easterly corner of said Lot 1: thence Southwesterly <br />along the Southerly line of said Lot 1, a distance of 129 feet recorded, (129.2 feet <br />measured), to a point 20 feet, recorded, (20.1 feet measured) Northeasterly (measured <br />along said Southerly line of said Lot 1), of the most Southerly corner of said Lot 1; <br />thence Northwesterly a distance of 82.5 feet, recorded, (82.2 feet measured) to a <br />point on the West line of said Lot D, 4.15 feet South of the Northwest corner there- <br />of; thence North on the West line of said Lot D a distance of 4.15 feet to the North- <br />west corner of Lot D; thence Northeasterly on the Northerly lines of Lots D and Lot 1 <br />to the Westerly line of Lincoln Way East and the most Northerly corner of said Lot 1; <br />thence Southeasterly on the Westerly line of Lincoln Way East a distance of 51.5 feet <br />recored, (51.0 feet measured), to the point of beginning.
