- - - REGULAR MEETING - - - - --FEBRUARY- 24; -198-6----- <br />BILL NO. 8A -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $700.00 FROM THE MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR ELECTRICAL WORK AT MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. Dale Balsbaugh, manager of the <br />- Morris Civic, indicated these funds would be used to correct the routing of <br />electrical power lines. Council Member Beck made a motion to recommend this bill to <br />the Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. <br />BILL NO. 11 -86 A BILL APPROPRIATING $84,940.00 FROM THE WATER WORKS DEPRECIATION <br />FUND TO ACCOUNT NUMBERED 399.0 WITHIN THAT FUND. <br />This being the time heretofore set for public hearing on the above bill, proponents <br />and opponents were given an opportunity to be heard. William Smurr, Director of the <br />Water Works, made the presentation for the bill. He indicated this appropriation <br />would be the final payment on the automated information and management control <br />system. Council Member Zakrzewski made a motion to recommend this bill to the <br />Council favorable, seconded by Council Member Barcome. The motion carried. <br />There being no further business to come before the Committee of the Whole, Council <br />Member Taylor made a motion to rise and report to the Council, seconded by Council <br />Member Zakrzewski. JOSEPH COUNTY, <br />INDIANA. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to amend.this <br />bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member <br />Zakrzewski. The motion carried. The bill passed by a roll <br />call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7602 -86 PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4324 SOUTH MICHIGAN STREET, IN <br />THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to amend this <br />bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member <br />Zakrzewski. The motion carried. Council Member Puzzello made a motion to pass the <br />bill, as amended, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The bill passed by a roll <br />call vote of nine ayes. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7603 -86 <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON A BILL TO VACATE THE NORTH -SOUTH <br />STREET COMMONLY KNOWN AS GREENLAWN AVENUE, BETWEEN <br />RUSKIN AND NORTHSIDE BOULEVARD LOCATED NEAR I.U.S.B., <br />AND A PORTION OF HILDRETH STREET. <br />This bill had second reading. Council Member Taylor made a motion to�amend this <br />bill, as amended in the Committee of the Whole, seconded by Council Member <br />Puzzello. The motion carried. Council Member Taylor made a motion to pass the <br />bill, as amended, seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski. The bill passed by a roll <br />call vote of eight ayes and one nay (Council Member Beck). <br />ORDINANCE NO. 7604 -86 <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON <br />NORTH -SOUTH ALLEY <br />AND THE U.S. ARMY <br />OF THE SUBJECT AL: <br />BELLEVUE ADDITION <br />U.S. ARMY RESERVE <br />A BILL TO VACATE THE FIRST <br />WEST OF GREENLAWN BETWEEN HILDRETH <br />RESERVE CENTER AND THE EAST -WEST LEG <br />= BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY LOT 116 OF <br />(IUSB PROPERTY) AND THE SOUTH BY THE <br />CENTER. <br />This bill had second reading.
