Project Phases (phases described are not project specific) <br />Dore will perform demolition in the following phases. <br />o Phase I — Site Security <br />o Phase 11 — Environmental Decontamination <br />o Phase III — Equipment Salvage <br />o Phase IV — Demolition <br />o Phase V — Recycling <br />o Phase VI — Site Grading <br />Phase I — Site Security <br />a. Dore will secure the site, restricting access. All employees and visitors must use the <br />log book (located in the Project Office Trailer) to sign -in and sign -out, and attend a site specific <br />Safety Orientation. <br />Phase 11 — Environmental Decontamination <br />Reference Dore's Asbestos Abatement Plan, Lead Contaminated Material Removal Plan, <br />and the Hazardous Material Management Plan. <br />Phase III — Equipment Salvage <br />Dore employees trained in salvage for reuse will remove any equipment (i.e. transformers, <br />electrical switch gear, electrical buzz bar, and assorted wiring prior to demolition. <br />Phase IV — Demolition <br />1. Dore will ensure all utilities have been capped and disconnected. <br />2. Dore will perform interior demolition removing as much non -recyclable material as <br />possible. <br />3. Demolition of building will begin on east end of plant moving west. <br />4. Demolition will occur using a 345cat excavator with grapple. The building will be <br />demolished in manageable pieces, from the roof downward, pulling out predetermined <br />columns in a manner creating a controlled collapse. <br />5. Using a 330cat excavator with grapple, Dore will separate non -recyclable material from <br />concrete and masonry (ferrous and non-ferrous material, any other remaining non - <br />recyclable debris). <br />
