d. Asbestos Inspection <br />The ENGINEER shall utilize an Indiana Department of Environmental <br />Management (IDEM) accredited Asbestos Building Inspector to <br />perform an asbestos inspection of each of the residential structures <br />to be demolished. The asbestos inspection will be performed in <br />accordance with the requirements set forth by the federal National <br />Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) asbestos <br />regulations contained in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, <br />Part 61, Subpart M, (40 CFR 61, Subpart M). The purpose of the <br />asbestos inspection will be to document the location, quantity, and <br />condition of all asbestos containing materials located within the <br />structures so that the regulated asbestos containing materials can <br />be removed prior to the start of the demolition activities. <br />e. Asbestos Abatement <br />The ENGINEER shall utilize an IDEM accredited Asbestos Project <br />Designer to prepare asbestos abatement specifications for the <br />removal of all regulated asbestos containing materials from the <br />structures. These specifications shall include provisions for the <br />proper handling, removal, transportation, and disposal of the <br />asbestos containing materials. The asbestos abatement <br />specifications will be included in the overall demolition specification <br />package and will not be bid separately. <br />III. Revise Section 4 of Appendix "B" as follows: <br />4. Assist the ENGINEER by placing at ENGINEER's disposal all available <br />information pertinent to the Project including, but not limited to, the following: <br />a. Previous reports and any other data relative to design or construction of <br />the project. <br />b. Available data from the transportation planning process. <br />C. Utility plans available to the OWNER. <br />d. Previous reports and any other data relative to design or <br />construction of the Project. <br />e. Utility and building plans available to the OWNER covering the <br />facilities. <br />f. Soils and groundwater information from the site. <br />g. Data prepared by, or services of others and appropriate professional <br />interpretations of such. <br />h. All written views pertinent to the location and environmental studies <br />that are received by the OWNER. <br />IV. Add Sections 13 -14 to Appendix "B" as follows: <br />13.
