MBE AND WBE PARTICIPATION
At Larson -Danielson, we are committed to strengthening diversity within
the construction industry. We actively support minority-, women-, and
veteran -owned businesses and value the contributions they bring to every
project. For the Kennedy Park project, we will leverage our strong network
of XBE partners, built through active partnerships with diversity
organizations, and the certified supplier and contractor database from the
Indiana Department of Administration to meet and exceed participation
goals.
■ Our Good Faith Efforts
Proactive Outreach: We will launch the project with events
and press releases designed to engage XBE contractors,
share project details, and create networking opportunities
supported by clear documentation. Contractor interest will be
evaluated, and communication maintained to build lasting
Certified
Women's Business Enterprise
partnerships. Per our preliminary schedule, preparation will
begin in September 2025, with outreach events scheduled
between December 2025 and February 2026.
2. Direct Engagement: We'll personally reach out to potential
XBE contractors by phone and other channels to share project
details and opportunities. If they're interested, we'll set up
follow-up meetings to discuss next steps. VETERAN
These efforts have proven successful in encouraging and garnering OWNED BUSINESS
diverse participation for our projects and have helped us to surpass Owner goals for XBE
participation.
■ Support for Industry Diversity
Indiana Plan Partnership: We support the Indiana Plan to expand opportunities for
women and minorities in construction.
2. Northern Indiana Minority Business Association (NIMBA) Membership: As active
members, we are dedicated to helping diverse businesses thrive by providing them
with opportunities and resources.
3. Mentor -Protege Program: Working with the City of South Bend's Mentor -Protege
program has allowed us to mentor, support, and grow alongside minority- and
women -owned businesses, strengthening the industry as a whole.
■ Our Commitment
We are committed to building diverse, thriving communities by partnering with MBE, WBE,
and VBE firms in meaningful ways. Beyond meeting goals, we focus on creating lasting
opportunities that strengthen XBE businesses, expand capabilities, and leave a positive
impact on both the project and the community.
to Proposal for Construction Manager as Constructor Services Page 21 of 30
Kennedy Park — South Bend, Indiana
