BECK <br />The attached bill is introduced <br />in the hope of <br />Third District <br />LEWIS A. McGANN <br />establishing an0lder Adults Council in the City. <br />Fourth District <br />ROBERT G. TAYLOR <br />Fifth District <br />Mayor Parent has been very instrumental in initiating <br />WALTER T. KOPCZYNSKI <br />this bill. As you will recall, <br />the month of May was <br />Sixth District <br />BEVERLY D. CRONE <br />designated "Older Adults Month". <br />In May, Mayor Parent <br />At Large <br />held a reception to discuss the <br />formation of the Older <br />RICHARD C. DOMBROWSKI <br />At Large <br />Adults Council— - The response at <br />that time was over - <br />JOHN VOORDE <br />whelming. <br />At Large <br />Since then, I have aided the Mayor in chairing a meeting <br />held on June 26th to discuss this bill further with <br />interested Older Adults. This bill therefore, reflects <br />many of the suggestions and recommendations received <br />to date. <br />I. believe the establishment of an Older Adults Council <br />would enable the City to more fully utilize the talents, <br />skills, and knowledge of our Older adults in trying to <br />address their special needs and problems. <br />I seek your input and support on this important piece <br />of legislation. <br />Sincerely, <br />Beverly D.
