TonuntUrr Irvart <br />On toe (lommon (Ionurd of tot (ng of ftut4 Brub: <br />Your Committee of the Whole <br />to whom was referred <br />A BILL AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 5 OF THE <br />MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 2 -61 <br />ENTITLED OLDER ADULTS COUNCIL. <br />Respectfully report that they have examined the matter and that in their opinion THIS BILL SHOULD BE RECOMMENDED <br />TO THE COUNCIL FAVORABLE, AS AMENDED: <br />Change composition of Council to 14 appointed by the Common Council <br />and 7 appointed by the Major. <br />Change Terms of Members to reflect the 14 appointed by the Common <br />Council and seven by the Mayor. <br />In (k) (2) change the paragraph to read: <br />"Serve as spokesmen and advocates on behalf of South Bend's <br />older adults by conducting studites on matters of concern <br />to older adults, developing recommendations for action if <br />appropriate and advocating such action." <br />WALTER M.
