Utility Abandonment Plans and Specifications <br />1. DLZ will identify the extent of utility abandonment within the demolition plan and <br />specifications. This will include providing for the plugging or capping of lines to be <br />abandoned/demolished which connect to active lines intended to remain in place throughout <br />demolition. <br />2. DLZ will document information found relative to the condition and depth of questionable lines. <br />This information will be provided to the demolition contractors for informational purposes <br />only. The burden of performance relative to health and safety protection shall be placed on <br />the demolition contractor as part of the contract documents. <br />3. Specific utility relocation requirements are not known or anticipated at this time. Therefore, <br />engineering design, bidding and construction phase services for utility relocation(s) are NOT <br />included in this Proposal and are considered Additional Services. <br /> <br />E. Erosion Control Specifications <br />1. DLZ will prepare performance specifications and plans for erosion and sedimentation control <br />during demolition and site restoration activities. <br />2. Performance specification and plans will be based on the approved IDEM CSGP. This will allow <br />the CLIENT flexibility in enforcing the performance of erosion and sediment control during <br />demolition and site restoration activities. <br /> <br />F. Site Grading and Drainage <br /> <br />1. DLZ will develop backfill and compaction requirements needed to fill the voids created as a <br />result of the removal of foundations and footer walls. <br /> <br />2. DLZ will prepare a final grading and drainage plan for the restoration of the portions of the site <br />that are disturbed as part of this Project. The intent of the final grading plan will be to bring <br />the disturbed portions of the site to elevations to match the surrounding grades. The design <br />will utilize the existing on-site structures and will not include the design of any new storm <br />structures or infrastructure to manage stormwater at the Project site. <br /> <br />3. Specifications will also include the establishment of lawn or other low maintenance surface, <br />as directed by the CLIENT. The design of lawn irrigation is not included and is considered an <br />Additional Service to this contract. <br />
