It is anticipated the <br />streets will consist of an urban, two-lane section with sidewalk and/or a multi-use <br />path on each side of the road. Delineate space for proposed lighting, on-street <br />parking, street trees and other amenities. <br />6.3 The scaled drawing will be made available as a Shape file and in pdf format to the CLIENT <br />for use with GIS type programs, Google Earth, etc. <br />6.4 Prepare a preliminary Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost. <br />6.5 Geometric design parameters will be to City of South Bend standards. <br />6.6 CONSULTANT will make one (1) set of revisions to the preliminary plans as necessary <br />based on CLIENT comment. <br />6.7 Attend Preliminary Field Check meeting upon submittal of preliminary plans. <br /> <br />7.0 STREET DESIGN, PLANS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS – PHASE 1 <br />7.1 CONSULTANT will prepare street design plans, including traffic calming measures, and <br />contract documents for Phase 1 improvements only. <br />7.2 Maintenance of traffic (MOT) for the project will be designed in accordance with the most <br />recent version of the Indiana Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). <br />7.2.1 Coordination will be done with the adjacent businesses to confirm access is <br />maintained in an acceptable manner. <br />7.3 CONSULTANT will design trails, sidewalks, and curb ramps to meet current ADA <br />standards. <br />7.4 CONSULTANT will prepare urban street landscaping plan. <br />7.5 CONSULTANT will perform final design and engineering calculations. <br />7.6 CONSULTANT will prepare details of non-standard roadway items to be included on detail <br />sheets with the project plans. <br />7.7 CONSULTANT shall prepare plans for new roadway signage and pavement markings to be <br />in accordance with the IMUTCD. <br />7.8 Prepare final specifications and construction drawings for permitting and bidding to include: <br />7.8.1 Title Sheet <br />7.8.2 Sheet Index <br />7.8.3 Street Typical Sections <br />7.8.4 Plan and Profile <br />7.8.5 Maintenance of Traffic <br />7.8.6 Lighting Plan <br />7.8.7 Landscaping Plan <br />7.8.8 Striping and Signage Plan <br />7.8.9 Lighting Details <br />7.8.10 Landscaping Details <br />7.8.11 Construction Details <br />7.8.12 Earthwork/Summary Tables <br />7.8.13 Street Cross Sections <br />7.9 Prepare an Engineer’s Opinion of Probable Cost. Submit in excel format. <br />7.10 Submit electronic files to the CLIENT for review and comment. <br />7.11 Incorporate front end documents from CLIENT in project specifications.
