(b) A blanket bond in the amount of $1,000,000.00 shall <br />cover the faithful performance of all other employees, commission <br />members, and persons acting on behalf of the City. <br />Section 2 -117 Residence requirements. <br />(a) Each employee shall be a bona fide resident of the City <br />within a maximum of six (6) months after the effective date of his <br />or her appointment or employment. <br />(b) For the purposes of this section the following <br />definitions are incorporated: <br />(1) A bona fide resident of the City is a person who <br />maintains his permanent place of domicile within <br />the City limits for a minimum period of nine (9) <br />months of every calendar year; <br />(2) Employee is any person employed by the City or any <br />subdivision thereof for wages or salary, except <br />for sworn police officers and firefighters. <br />(3) Permanent place of domicile is any dwelling <br />maintained by an employee for a minimum period of <br />nine (9) months of every calendar year, as his one <br />permanent dwelling as manifested by his <br />declarations and acts thereto. <br />(c) Upon the request of the Administration and Finance <br />Department each employee shall file proof by affidavit of his <br />permanent place of domicile. <br />(d) Any employee of the City who fails to establish that he <br />is a bona fide resident of the City within six (6) months of his <br />appointment or employment or any employee who moves out of the City <br />limits after securing employment with the City shall be held in <br />violation of this Code and terminated from employment. <br />(e) This section shall not apply to: <br />(1) sworn police officers; <br />(2) sworn firefighters; <br />(3) a City employee who filed with the Personnel <br />Department documentation in compliance with <br />Ordinance No. 6002 -76. <br />Section 2 -118. Pay period for all officers and employees. <br />Payment for personal services to all officers and employees <br />of the City shall be made biweekly on every other Friday with the <br />first such pay period of the year commencing no later than the first <br />Friday following the initial two weeks pay period. <br />Section 2 -119. Sick leave for all officers and employees. <br />(a) Each officer and employee of the City shall be entitled <br />to an annual sick leave of fifteen (15) days, accumulated according <br />to City personnel policy, which shall be cumulative to ninety (90) <br />days; provided, that any occupational disease or any injury or ill- <br />ness arising out of and in the course of employment or in the perfor- <br />mance of duty shall not be construed to come within the provisions <br />of this section, but is subject to the laws, provisions of this code <br />and other ordinances relating to such contingencies. This section <br />shall not apply to sworn police officers or firefighters. <br />(b) Accrued sick leave may be used for maternity leave. <br />I <br />
