Breckinridge County Schools ■ s CMTA
Guaranteed Energy Savings Contract
Annual Reconciliation Report (2023-2024)
Solor
Solar PV arrays were installed at Hardinsburg Elementary School and Irvington Elementary School. As this
was the only ECM performed at these facilities, savings are not guaranteed relative to a building baseline,
but instead a production level of electricity is guaranteed. Solar production was guaranteed using Option
B: Retrofit Isolation, where the solar inverters record all electrical production from the arrays.
Note that the solar inverter at Irvington Elementary School failed on May 10, 2024 and was replaced under
warranty by CMTA at no cost to Breckinridge County Schools on July 11, 2024. As such, there was no solar
production at Irvington Elementary School during the 2-month period where there was no functioning
inverter at that site.
100,000
80,000
k 60,000
W
h
40,000
20,000
0
Solar Production Tracking
Hardinsburg Elementary School Irvington Elementary School
■Guaranteed Production ■Actual Production
Figure 4-5: Solar Production Tracking Year 4
Figure 4-5 shows that Hardinsburg Elementary's solar array exceeded the production guarantees for Year
4 while Irvington Elementary had a shortfall due to two months of lost production as a result of the failed
solar inverter at that site. This issue has since been corrected and solar production has returned to
projected levels. This small shortfall in production is exceeded by the excess electrical savings at other
district sites (see Table 4-7).
Page Content is Subject to Confidentiality Restrictions
4-6
9519 Civic Way, Suite 100 1 Prospect, KY 40059 1502.409.4062 1 cmta.com
Performance Contracting I M EP Engineering I Zero Energy Engineering I Technology I Commissioning
