The scope included: <br />• 66.3 kW of solar PV arrays were installed on the roofs of both <br />Hardinsburg Elementary School and Irvington Elementary School <br />• At Breckinridge High School, existing chiller and boiler plants were <br />removed and a new geothermal wellfield and variable air volume (VAV) water source heat pumps were installed. <br />• 13 existing DX/propane packaged rooftop units were replaced, and 2 additional DX/propane packaged RTUs were <br />installed at Custer Elementary School. <br />• Web -based digital HVAC controls upgrades were made district -wide to improve building performance, monitor, <br />diagnose, and troubleshoot HVAC systems at all schools <br />• Plumbing upgrades and bottle -filling station upgrades were made district -wide <br />• LED lighting replacements and retrofits for over 4,000 fixtures <br />• Plumbing fixture upgrades were installed at 3 schools <br />• Air purification devices installed district -wide <br />The types of equipment included: <br />• Solar Modules: 390W JA Solar Module <br />• Inverter and Rapid Shutdown Device: SolarEdge P960 Power Optimizer <br />• PV Racking: Unirac RM5 <br />• Balance of System (Disconnects, AC Combiner Panels): SquareD <br />• Communications/Monitoring: SolarEdge Production & Consumption Monitoring <br />This project was funded by guaranteed energy savings. <br />The contract was signed March 16th, 2020. Construction began in May 2020 as projected and ended in September 2020 as <br />projected. <br />The projected annual utility savings in dollars were $267,558; in energy/water the projected annual electric savings were <br />1,959,065 kWh and 6,828 kW, and the annual natural gas savings were 48,783 therms. Projected water savings were 491 <br />kgal. <br />The actual annual utility savings for Year 1, 2021, in dollars were $424,373, for an excess savings of $156,815. For the actual <br />savings in energy/water, the annual electric savings were 3,648,980 kWh and 8,905 kW, and the annual natural gas savings <br />were 56,533 therms. The annual water savings were 574 kgal. <br />For Year 4, 2024, the actual annual utility savings for Year 1, 2021, in dollars were $337,256. The actual annual electric savings <br />were 2,535,442 kWh and 6,994 kW. The actual annual gas savings were 42,217 therms.
