<br />Project Scope of Services <br /> <br />Site Survey <br />We will contract a surveyor to complete a topographic survey at West Washington Street (boundaries shown in <br />Exhibit B) for the mid-block crossing improvements. The survey will provide accurate existing conditions, <br />including drainage structures and all utility information within the right-of-way, property lines from record <br />document descriptions, locations of improvements, benchmarks, witness points, and topographic information <br />necessary for completing the proposed design. <br /> <br />Preliminary Design – West Washington Mid-Block <br />Develop the final site layout design based on concepts produced as part of the West Side Greenway Civic <br />Connector master plan. <br />• Update site layout plans based on final selected concept. <br />• Project set-up using survey coordinate system. <br />• Develop typical cross sections. <br />• Determine potential impacts to adjacent driveways. <br />• Review drainage patterns and provide initial drainage impact analysis and recommendations for any <br />proposed drainage system updates. <br />• Preliminary utility coordination will be completed to determine impacts to any existing utilities. <br />• Develop quantities and cost estimates for final crossing design. <br />• Project Review Meetings (2) <br />• A preliminary or schematic design plan set that includes, but is not limited to: demolition plans, site <br />layout plans, dimensioning/delineation, typical pavement sections, and preliminary drainage plans. <br />• All design recommendations to follow City of South Bend Standard Drawings / Details. <br /> <br />Construction Documentation – West Washington Mid-Block <br />Develop a construction document set for site improvements that reflects the final schematic design and meets <br />City of South Bend Board of Public Works requirements <br />• Construction Document plan set may include, but is not limited to the following: <br />• Site Demolition Plan <br />• Site Layout Plans, Grading, and Drainage Plans <br />• Typical Cross Sections (as needed) <br />• Pavement Markings <br />• Maintenance of Traffic Plans <br />• Site Details and Site Specifications <br />• Continued Utility Coordination. <br />• Attend a review meeting (1) with the project team and prepare any revisions. <br />• Update the site construction cost estimate. <br /> <br />Bidding/Preparing and Construction Administration – West Washington Mid-Block <br />• Attend a pre-bid meeting with the owner and contractor. (1) <br />• Answer contractor questions and assist in preparation of addenda as required. <br />• Attend a pre-construction meeting with the owner and contractor. <br />• Make up to two (2) site visits to observe construction progress and its accordance with the plans and <br />specifications. <br />• Prepare field reports and provide City with site information. <br />• Review shop drawings, contractor questions, and change order requests, as necessary. <br />• Attend the substantial completion walk through and develop a site work punch list. <br /> <br />
